FAQs Do I need to use a lot more makeup than usual on my wedding day?Not necessarily. However, you do need makeup that is professionally applied to enhance your best features and blend with your natural coloring. Remember, you will be wearing a lot more white than usual (you know-the gown!), and that can cause a face to look too pale. Our focus is on very natural, yet beautiful makeup looks. You don't need heavy foundation, powders or lots of strong eye makeup. You DO need concealer in just the right places, well shaped brows, blended skin tone, gorgeous eyes, and lipstick that lasts! Do you provide service for the mother of the bride and groom? Absolutely! I think every mother wants to look extra special on the wedding day. We can create a fresh and elegant style that is not overdone, yet makes her feel beautiful. Click here for a Mother of the Bride picture! Do I need to choose my veil and headpiece before having the tryout? No, you don't. It is often easier to design your hairstyle first. Then you will know what type of veil and headpiece will best enhance the overall look you want. I can assist you with your options. What size wedding party can you handle? We can handle any size group-bridesmaids, moms, aunts, grandmothers, flower girls Do you have other artists to work with you? I certainly do! I have a wonderful group of hair and makeup artists who are available to work with me or on their own when necessary. Where are the hair and makeup services performed? We work at the location of your choice-wherever you are getting ready for your day. We bring all our own hair and makeup equipment for your convenience. The pre-wedding tryout is done at the artist's studio and takes 1½-2 hours. What time do we start getting ready? You need to know when the photographer wants to start taking photos prior to the ceremony. We work out a timeline so that everyone is fully dressed with hair and makeup completed ½ hour before photos begin. An average "getting ready" time is about 4½ hours(party of 4-8). Travel time to photo or ceremony site is considered. Is there a travel fee? No-except when we are going as far as Ramona, Fallbrook, or north of Carlsbad. We do not travel outside San Diego County.
